A small team from Muddville took out two Epics and Carl Zeiss's SLF compact primes on a journey of training, tears, sweat and a fair bit of blood.  The idea was to capture the human side of the competitors and contradict it with burst of extreme energetic violence.  Fun was had by all, looking forward to the next one…

A sweet collaboration with our new "sister company" down in Sydney.  Mo Shono and Johan Polhem of Sweetbox challenged our particle and fluid team with something rather bizzare (this one of for those MTV fans).  The concept odd, the visuals awesome, the result something super flossy.  As part of the development to this project we filmed candy-floss falling at 300fps - it was bland, so we made our own versions and this is the result...  Check them out, like us first then them...  www.sweetbox.tv

tecom photography

The First Group commissioned Muddville to go out and shoot some spectacular images for their growing portfolio of the Tecom area.  Graham Tooby was up for the task with the Alpha/Phase one camera.  The primary concern was perfection in the image, clarity in the detail, perfectly aligned buildings capturing the exquisite architecture of the Dubai Skyline.  Attached are a few selects, you can explore further in the showreel section.

basson steadicam ships today

Today we got confirmation on our tracking number for our speacilist steadi system, its basically a steadicam on steroids with a gyro head, it allows us to setup quickly, move between the shots and the best thing it works with our EpicM and EpicX.  Its take us more then a year to decide on the best rig for our company and we are happy to say it will be here next week sometime.  We invite all to come an view and can't wait to have it on set.

african adventure

Its been 2 months with my EpicM and have been meaning to write something about it, I can say in all fairness this camera quite easily found a way to humble my role as a Director and an individual. The camera has opened up so many more opportunities than I could have ever expected, my Bomb Squad (Brian Sheckelhoff) handler has been privvy to my tours across this planet, starting with Dubai, I ventured to Singapore, Barcelona, bit in Munich and Frankfurt, to Johannesburg and Cape Town. I now sit in Dubai with 4TB of footage that I just so desperately want to share. I met over 300 people in my travels, (I kind of know how TED feels) and in that time I met them all, the skeptics, the enthusiasts, the bewildered the flabbergasted and the random unknown. All the while people received the handling of the camera with fascination - all of them!
